Glen Powell Shares His One Rule for Dating After Finding Fame

Glen Powell is looking for anyone but a girlfriend right now.
Especially because the Top Gun: Maverick star requires a romantic partner who can handle his lifestyle as one of Hollywood's leading men.
"I realize it's going to take a very specific type of person to navigate this," Glen explained on CBS Mornings June 7. "It's a lot."
And he's wary about finding a partner who understands the entertainment industry, noting there are "new aspects and new complexities to this life and this job that I didn't even understand."
"So, to bring someone into that and to make them feel comfortable, make them feel seen, to make them feel loved," Glen continued, "when a lot of the elements around that can really eat at someone's self-confidence or worth or any of that stuff, I'm not willing to have somebody sign up for that if they're not ready for it."
In fact, the 35-year-old feels his life "is moving so fast that I don't even know if I could bring someone into it, even in a healthy way even if I tried."
And while he does admit that he could make it work with "the right person," Glen confessed that he's not "chasing love" at the moment.
Getting candid about dating is fairly new for Glen, who has kept his love life pretty quiet since he broke up with Gigi Paris in April 2023 after three years together. Shortly after, he was rumored to be romancing his Anyone But You costar Sydney Sweeney, but the Euphoria actress—who is engaged to Jonathan Davino—shut down the rumors when she hosted Saturday Night Live in March.
Still, just because he's not searching for love doesn't mean Glen is going to shy away from it coming his way.
"If love comes and hits me in the face and knocks me over," the Hit Man actor told CBS Mornings, "I welcome it with open arms cause that's something I really want."
He added, "I really want that phase of life. It's not far away."
